NOBAD Times #1: The Beginning

NOBAD.

A phrase used to describe the way we view the best possible way to live life. Being never too high and never too low creates an outlook on life that allows you to live the best you possibly can. 

It never made more sense to call a brand founded by The Hockey Guys something we all fully believe in. Throughout this whole journey we have adopted the NOBAD lifestyle and that has allowed us to get through the hard times, work even harder after the great times, and stay on track for success. 

 

Creating a brand from scratch that embodies what the company believes in was the inspiration behind every single step of working towards this endeavor. We wanted to give back to those who have supported us from the very beginning by creating clothing we care about, love, and put a lot of hours into. 

The NOBAD Team have all given up a lot of time in life to make this happen so without further ado, here is the lineup of Team NOBAD. 

Lawson McDonald - “The Boss”

Lawsy is in charge of designs, overseeing everything, and making sure that everyone is doing their tasks. As his leadership role brings a ton of responsibility, his creativity and patience propelled NOBAD to become a reality that has led to us being able to create our products as we envisioned. 

Austin Friesen - Clothing Master

Frizz has been Lawson’s right hand man when it comes to placing orders with manufacturers, building websites, and learning the ins and outs of running a clothing business. His approach of making sure things are ordered correctly consists of late night hours and early mornings to make sure the job gets done. 

Martan Yelle - Warehouse Boy/Marketer

Mr. Yelle is 1 of 3 Warehouse Boys in which he is responsible for making sure orders are shipped and delivered promptly and correctly. On top of the stress of the warehouse, he creates marketing plans that allow NOBAD to reach audiences all over the world. His positive attitude and approach is what makes Yelle a key part of this team as he is always there to pick up the spirits when things get tough. 

Levi Cudmore - Warehouse Boy

Cuddy is in charge of packing, shipping, and keeping the flow of the warehouse efficient. His hard working farmer mentality has helped NOBAD be able to pack orders no matter what gets in our way. The no nonsense approach of warehouse management from Cuddy has helped us become very successful in our orders, organization, and speedy shipping. 

Will Blake - Warehouse Boy

Will Blake is in charge of inventory management and making sure orders are printed, paid for, and packed correctly. While he may lack in the creative side of content, he makes up for it by making sure things are getting from A to B without any hiccups. Will takes pride in speedy shipping, having a clean warehouse, and making sure the job gets done as best as possible. 

Rory Delaney - Project Manager, Social Media, PR

As Rory joined THG Media as an intern prior to NOBAD’s first launch, her expertise in the clothing industry has really excelled in which none of the guys ever thought. Her attention to detail and outlook on the finer details of clothing has made NOBAD better than ever and she continues to make sure things are done on time and the right way. As the brand grows Rory will be the one leading the way in curating the content for the team that you'll find on all NOBAD social media platforms.

The NOBAD Team is extremely grateful for this opportunity and challenge that makes creating our own brand so rewarding. We are lucky to have each other and every one of our amazing customers. We truly take pride in NOBAD and want to deliver the best possible products, service, and brand in the world.
